Just like to thank you for finding me a nice home with Jayne and her daughter Emma. I have recovered from my ear infection and my coat is growing back nicely. I have lots of new toys to play with which my mom says is to keep me occupied and take my mind off "dinner" , anyone would think I am a greedy dog :P Didnt take me long to get mom into a routine of how I like things done, but I let her think she is in the Boss and just look at her with my big brown eyes, give her a paw and I win :)) Thank you for finding me a nice new happy life and for you help when I was poorly.

  3. Thank you so much Glenis and Clive for helping us to find an ideal companion for our dog Trixie (Westie). Jack is such a treasure and has settled in really well. You recommended that we bring Trixie to meet him before making a final decision whether to re-home him and they hit it off straight away. The relationship has got even better since and they go everywhere together. We really appreciate the time you spent trying to get in touch with us as well as briefing us fully on his history and giving advice on on how to best manage his needs. It was obvious that he was very comfortable around you in your home and it made all the difference meeting him in a relaxed environment without cages and barking dogs like you would see in some rescue homes. He is everything you said he was - a lovely boy with a gentle way about him.

  4. I can't thank Glenis and Clive enough, i adopted my Alfie from them, he has a bad back and needs lots of TLC but thats OK because he is my little Angel and i couldn't imagine my life without him now. These people are amazing the care they give these animals is awesome, they make sure the dogs get their right forever people and nothing is done if it isn't right for the dogs and as a dog lover you can't say better than that.

I was a Birthday present for my forever female servant. I am a nine (approx.) month old Westie called Snowy although I think I should be called Tramp as I have a lopsided ear (one up one down). I have had a bit of separation anxiety when my new owners went to bad and left me, but this was soon sorted by them kindly leaving a light on. I am slowly learning to understand what they mean when they say 'come' and 'sit' and especially 'good boy' I am now learning what 'Bed' means especially as my lady put a T-shirt that she had worn in my bed. I have some woods and a bit field close by so I have a nice time on my walks.

You have found us an adoreable little Beagle girl called Amie (now Ruby) who will be very spoilt and well loved. We think it will take time and patience to build up her trust and confidence as well as get her back to a good weight and good condition. Were it not for genuine, caring people like yourselves God only knows what would have happened to her. We hope you'll visit us if you come to Northampton as we'd love you to see her in her new home. God bless you both for the amazing work you do, asking for little more than love and a good home for the fur babies you take under your wing. Many thanks again The Gibbs Family

  111. Dear Glenis and Clive,
We can't THANK YOU both enough for the care and understanding you showed us when we called upon you for help.
On meeting you both it was apparent that we had met the right people and it confirmed that we had made the right decision for little Alfie. As upsetting as it was, this was our main concern to ensure that Alfie would be well cared for and receive unconditional love.
People like you are very few and we feel privileged to have met you and knowing that Alfie is in your care we know that you will do your very best for him and ensure that he will have a very happy and fulfilled future ahead of him. As the photos you sent us proved he was well settled and looked totally at home in his new surroundings.
We will never forget him and when the time is right for us we will pay you a visit.
Thank you both so much and Thank Sheila on behalf of Alfie for all the love and cuddles he is no doubt getting.
    Take care you wonderful couple.
    All our love.

  112. Thank you Clive and Glenis for all your help and for being so caring when it came to us re-homing our lovely little Cavachon Coco. Deciding to re-home Coco was one of the hardest decisions we have had to make although we knew deep down it was the right thing to do. Glenis you took the time to speak to me and listen to me on the phone for over 45 minutes and I instantly knew that Coco would be taken so much care of and I just know that you will find her a family that are prefect for her as she will be to them. Thank you to Clive for collecting Coco and again being so understanding especially when I was blubbering! I knew again with how Coco greeted Clive and how he was with her that she was going to be so much happier. You are 2 truly wonderful people who care not only so much for the dogs but also for the owners, new and old. If only there were more people like you in the world who are also non judgmental and understand that peoples circumstances can change. Thank you also for the email and photo of Coco the day she came to you. She already looks right at home and I now imagine she is just as happy with Sheila and the other dogs. I cant thank you enough. Anna. xx

  132. Hi Glenis and Clive...
I have read all the amazing reviews and was wondering if you'd be able to help me rehome my 2 gorgeous boys... my circumstances have changed and I am working 5-6 days a week, 11 hour days and have 2 children. My poor dogs are locked in the house all day whilst I am there and I feel so bad but then I'm being selfish in keeping them as I love them so much and so scared they go to the wrong person and they get split... I have a westie and a chug. Both 5 years old. Due to my westie past he needs to go with an older couple with no children as I wouldn't trust him going around young ones. My chug is amazing and playful and both VERY energetic. I just wish I could find someone who had the time and love to give them who could offer them what I can't... if you can help please email me on x_steph_x@me.com
    Many thanks

Milly has learnt how to climb stairs and has a zest for the oustide world and loves her twice daily walkies with Jake in the fresh West Yorkshire air! She is a shy girl but her little character is slowly starting to come through which after just 5 days with us is great to see. She has stolen a few of Jake's biscuits when she thinks he's not looking but he's keeping his beady eye on them :-)
Please pass on our thanks to Milly's foster carers too. Thanks again from Joanne & Gary xx

  173. You can always trust a good dog rescue service, by the vetting they conduct - and a thorough vetting process is exactly what I experienced with smalldogrescue.co uk.

I was looking for a small dog as a companion to my neutered little toy poodle, who is also a rescue dog aged 3. He is a gentle soul, so I needed the right temperament of dog that would suit his timid and soft nature. I knew by the way he interacts with other dogs when we go for walks, that he would really benefit having a canine companion.

I saw a post by smalldogrescue, with the most adorable little Cavapoo, who like my poodle, had not had the best of starts. As soon as I saw her picture and read the description of her character, I just new she would be perfect for my little boy.

I phoned up and spoke to a lovely lady called Sheila, who had been this adorable dog's foster mother. Sheila had carefully nurtured this very timid young dog and was able to give me the dog's full history and personality traits.

I was asked numerous questions about my home, lifestyle and how I care and nurture my toy poodle on a day to day basis. The questions were so good and gave me faith that I was hopefully getting a dog from a very professional rescue service, who always put their dog's needs, at the heart of what they do.

I consider myself blessed to have been allowed to be the new permanent mother of this adorable, gentle, timid little Cavapoo. And it is heartwarming to see just how quickly my toy poodle and her, have bonded - I know they will bring the best out in each other and give each the confidence they are lacking. They are now sharing a home together and I know they will be the best of friends for the rest of their lives.

Clive and Sheila do a wonderful job of finding these adorable dogs a stable forever home. I am really lucky to have come across smalldogrescue and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Thank you for trusting this gorgeous little dog to me and for your excellent continued rescue work.

    Fiona

We attended a five week course at Chase Dog Training and Max achieved Level 1 - Advanced Basic Skills. He travels well in the car and enjoyed his caravan holiday with us. Thank you so much!

When we realised we had to give up our girl puppy our main concern was that she went to people who knew how to look after her. Sheila's description of their rigorous vetting procedures immediately reassured us that we were doing the right thing in entrusting our dog to their care. We found them to be non judgmental, caring, selfless and dedicated. Our little dog has now been re-homed and our grateful thanks goes to Sheila and all the team of volunteers who provide this excellent service. Keep up the good work and best wishes for the future.
